Supplements are quite literal things as they are meant to supplement a good diet and healthy living, not substitute. But when used with a healthy lifestyle, they can make your life longer and you more beautiful ✨
Below i’ll go over a few that may be beneficial for you to incorporate in ya life! Big fyi, I am not a professional, just done lots of research myself and have seen real results from adding them into my routine. However, not everything works the same for everyone. So for each give it about ___ weeks to see if it makes the same difference for you, stop if you find it to be irritating or causing continual bad symptoms, and best to always consult with your doctor.
A Multi – Vitamin
Now depending on your personal vitamin deficiencies and needs, you may need to take separate supplements of specific vitamins. However, if you’re just looking to add a well-rounded assortment of vitamins to your life, a good multi-vitamin is where it’s at. Our diets vary, and some weeks we don’t get all the greens or choose not to eat the fish; taking one of these daily could ensure you are getting all your proper nutrients. Be sure that your multivitamin fits your age, life stage (e.g. pregnancy or trying), dietary restrictions/allergies, amount of nutrients provided, etc. Also be sure to check on the quality and vetting of a product before you buy. Below are my favs that are pretty generic.
A Probiotic
Probiotics ensure your gut is in tip top shape. In doing so it supports immune functions, support nutrient absorption, maintains mood, supports healthy weight management, freshens breath, reduces fatigue, maintains healthy blood sugar range, and improves skin appearance.
- You’ll want to look for language indicating it contains live and active bacterial cultures.
- Has at least 10 billion cfus
- Has a prebiotic as well as probiotic
Omega 3’s / Fish Oil
These things can be great for a healthy heart. Some multi-vitamins do not include this so it may be good to take in addition.
Apple Cider Vinegar
*also filled w vitamin B12
Get the apple cider vinegar benefits without having to bear the grossness of apple cider vinegar 🤗 The science behind these things are still very new, but they are still promising. They support overall health and immune systems, they may help in weight management/loss and appetite suppression, they support heart health, promote healthy digestion, and improves nervous system health.
Collagen
One of the reasons skin starts to age, is that collagen breaks down resulting in loss of elasticity and moisture. Taking a collagen supplement can improve skin/hair/nail health and looks, boost your immune system, help relieve joint pain, improve eyesight, reduces cellulite, prevent bone loss, promote heart health, and promote gut health.
A glow supplement – Hyaluronic Acid / Vitamin C / Vitamin E
Greens
A raw ingredient source which leads to much of the nutrient density to be maintained over a multivitamin. Nutrients are much more bioavailabke meaning they are easily absorbed by your body. Covers micronutrient requirements, improves gut health, fights off age free radicals, increases energy and improves hormonal balance.
